Snowshoeing in Mammoth

We had a chilly sunshine weekend up in Mammoth Lakes. While friends warmed up their skiing legs at the resort, a few of us opted for snowshoeing to the Minaret Vista lookout.

The trail starts at the Main Lodge and continues to the Reds Meadow Valley. We passed the toll station to Red’s Meadow and continued our way up to the Minaret lookout. Wow! What an amazing view. We challenged our legs a little more and continued our ascent for another hour.

Other than the few snowmobiles that were transporting backcountry skiers, we saw very few people. Another wonderful weekend of adventure, exercise (much needed) and friends.
